We have been slacking since New Year's Day. I'm still half done with Nick's office, and have had no interest in finishing it lately. This weekend we went to see Zero Dark Thirty, and Gangster Squad. We have now seen four Best Picture nominees, Argo, Lincoln, Django Unchained, and Zero Dark Thirty.
My hope is to finish painting Nick's office by next Sunday, and showing photos of the other side.
Anybody else being lazy like me?

New collage layout
There have been some recent changes the the quantity of art in Nick's office. The firm Nick works for moved to a new location, and his new work office has taken a couple pieces of art that were in his home office. Another piece of art fell on the floor. Because of all of these, we changed the layout of Nick's Arkansas collage wall. It was perfect timing since I had decided to paint his office walls.
Here's the before:
It was meant to have room to add to, and look random. After some time, I realized I didn't like that. So when the opportunity to final change it came, I took advantage of it. Here's how it looks now:
We have room on both sides of the center art to add to the wall. I'm much happier with this layout over the messy look we had before.
I've been sick most of the weekend, so Nick and I decided to get working on one of New Year's resolutions; watching AFI's top 100 movies of all time. This weekend we watched Gone With the Wind, and Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. We want to watch all the movies together. So including the ones we've watched together while dating (The Graduate, Jaws, The Shawshank Redemption, and All the President's Men), we are 6 down, 94 movies to go.
Here's our cheat sheet on our fridge:
So over the next couple years we plan on watching all of these together. We have seen many of these individually, but we are only counting those we watch together.
Anybody made progress in their New Year's Resolution?

Christmas in Wisconsin
This weekend was Xmas with my family in Wisconsin. We have been doing this for years and it works great for everyone. We had a blast playing bingo, and opening gifts. I wish the Packers would have won the game, but it was still a good weekend.
Next weekend, I should be finishing up painting Nick's office. I hope to get it all done.

New Office Color!
Last weekend, I tested a color I thought would work well in Nick's office. After months of debating colors, I came down to Castle Path and Wheat Bread by Behr. I decided that Wheat Bread would be better. The sample went down, and I was comfortable with it. I bought a gallon of Premium Plus Ultra, because I love the paint and primer in one. I buy only satin paint, because I like the sheen that comes off of it. I think it gives it a more expensive look.
After I started painting it on, I realized that I LOVE this color. It's a prefect greige. It looks a little more brown in real life than these pictures show. Nick insists that it is grey, but I see it as brown-grey. I think I could paint the whole house this color. If you're looking for a great neutral color, I would recommend Wheat Bread by Behr.
I'm only half done with Nick's office. Saturday afternoon, we helped Nick's sister, and her husband pack for their move to Mississippi. And this weekend we will be in Wisconsin for my family's Xmas. So this room won't be done for at least a couple weeks. I'll post more pictures when it's all done.
What is your favorite paint color?
